I love to paint close-ups of nature; water rocks, clouds and more. I make many quick studies outside using pencil, black pens and watercolors. In my studio I can spend years working and re-working canvases with thin layers of oil paint and large home-made brushes, looking to capture the spirit of these places. I love how complex and simple nature is, and how both dramatic and quiet it can be. To me mistakes, odd colors, and confusion have equal place with beauty, grace and harmony.
