JOEL JANOWITZ has exhibited his artwork both nationally and internationally with over 50 solo exhibitions. His work has been collected by numerous museums including the Rose Art Museum, the Whitney Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Minneapolis Institute of Art, the MFA Boston, and the Harvard Art Museums. In May he will have work from his Protected Tree series at the Boston City Hall Gallery in the exhibition "Learning from Trees," curated by Martina Tanga. In June he and Mark Cooper show together at the Jane Deering Gallery in Gloucester, MA and in September he will exhibit at the Schoolhouse Gallery, Provincetown. Janowitz has taught at Wellesley College, the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Princeton University, and Brown University. Mr. Janowitz has also been honored with a Guggenheim Fellowship in Painting.
