Painter and collagist Chandra Mendez-Ortiz opens her studio to share work from Love Letters to the Culture, a century spanning series tracing Black life from 1930-2030. Rooted in her grandmother's stories of the Great Migration and her own Afro-Latina family histories, the works is an invitation - to remember, to imagine, and to see yourself in the arc of history.
