Haleh Fotowat (she/her) is an artist based in Boston, MA. Working in a variety of media, including oil, acrylic, and gouache, she explores the connections between art, nature, and science. Fotowat's inspiration comes from the unpredictability, urgency, continuity, beauty, humor, and vitality found in all living forms. Her drawings are spontaneous, liberated trajectories and shapes, often created while listening to improvised jazz. Her work has been exhibited at the Boston City Hall, Galatea Fine Arts in Boston; the Kathryn Schultz Gallery in Cambridge, MA; Site: Brooklyn Gallery in Brooklyn, NY; and the Papermill Gallery in Toronto, Canada.
