Mary first identified as an artist in high school. While majoring in mathematics, she also studied drawing, painting, ceramics, photography, theatre, and music. After teaching for a few years, she headed to California to study philosophy, cosmology, and consciousness, during which time her paintings took on evolutionary, planetary, and ecosocial justice themes.
Since returning to New England over a decade ago, she has designed high school STEM departments; studied mathematics education, more painting, and physics; and begun a long-term career in STEM educational materials design.
Mary's recent work reflects her current studies in quantum mechanics and social change.
